Purge Perriello

no-perrielloLast night at 11:16 PM the United States House of Representatives voted to destroy the American way of life by passing a health care bill that puts more power into the hands of the political hacks in Washington. This bill which passed by only three votes and had one Republican voting for it, Joseph Cao of Louisiana, can now be spun as by-partisan legislation. Thank you Mr. Cao.

Here in the 5th District Congressman, I agree with everything in principle, Tom Perriello also voted for this unconstitutional piece of legislation. Tom not only broke his oath to uphold the United States Constitution he also lied to people in the town halls when he stated he would not vote for any health care legislation that funded abortion and allowed illegal aliens to participate in the program. This bill does both.

But as I had mentioned to Tom lets completely forgo the debate of the pros and cons of this bill, the simple fact is that it is unconstitutional, the Federal Government has no right to force any citizen to purchase a product such as health insurance. Perriello using his ever present verbal dancing skills stated that in essence the US Constitution can be interpreted in anyway politicians want in order to achieve their agenda.

We the American People must put a stop to this. Our rights are being trampled on by a bunch of socialists who will not be happy until they control every aspect of our lives. Nancy Pelosi’s lapdog Tom Periello along with every congressman that voted for this bill in violation of our Constitution must go. I have been civil to Mr. Perriello up until now but I will not and do not respect a traitor to our country. My civility has come to an end. I will work with every fiber of my being to make sure this abomination of a congressman will not serve another term as our 5th district representative. I call on every lover of freedom to do the same.

I will stand behind a truly conservative candidate. If the Republicans decide to nominate a RINO like they did in NY I will not support him. At least with Perriello I know where he stands.

And I’ll be right there fighting with you, Bill. There’s no further need to meet, call, or e-mail Tom — by last night’s vote, he boldly put agenda and politics ahead of his constituents and country. If he’d vote “yes” to this, any future legislation will pale by comparison. Shame on him. I’ll be spending the next 12 months doing everything I legally and peacefully can to oust him from his seat. I look forward to working with you and the good people of the JATP to get it done.

Get your facts straight. Perriello voted for the Stupak amendment, and therefore not allowing the government use of funds for abortion. Tom kept his word about abortion.

Even your fellow Tea Party leaders recognized this fact. Please stop spreading misinformation.

And what part of Article I, Section 8 in the Constitution “promoting the General Welfare” escapes you?

I am sorry but I am not spreading misinformation, the Stupak amendment has very general exceptions, rape, incest and if the mother’s health is in danger which is so broad as to allow just about any woman who wants an abortion to have one. So in my view and most others there is federal funding for abortions in this bill. Besides that Nancy Pelosi knows that amendment will be thrown out in the Senate.

As for the general welfare clause give me a break. That clause according to James Madison was only for the federal government to carry out the duties and powers which where specifically enumerated in the constitution. Health care is not one of those enumerated powers. If we allow the federal government to use that otherwise then that means the government can be responsible for any factor in our lives that will lead to our general welfare; job, food, housing, etc. You may not have a problem with that and need the government to regulate your life but most freedom loving Americans don’t.

I agree with you completely Bill. I am also a 5th district voter and will join the movement to send him a pink slip next November. I would also like to remind Mr. Perriello that he also promised not to vote for the public option at one or more of his Town Hall meetings. Enjoy your last days in Washington, Tommy and start working on your resume.

Why wait for the next election? Aren’t there procedures in place that allow for recall of Representatives for such things as criminal or immoral acts, or gross misrepresentation of their constituancy?

Ralph I don’t know if that is true but if it is we really need to look into this.

There was a Tea party last night in front of Tom Perriello’s office in Farmville the street was full of people with signs in protest of Tom’s vote. I only hope they will stay this worked up until next November.
