This so called town hall has confused me due to the simple fact that Tom did not listen to the people at the 21 town halls he conducted in the district in August. After attending several and speaking to others about the meetings they attended I know that the majority of people were against government run health care. This fact did nothing to affect Tom’s vote. So why is he having this one Thursday night? The only thing that I can think of is that it will be dominated by the few socialists who actually support this legislation and he hopes that will convince some people that he was actually responding to the voters. The one thing I will have to give Tom credit for is his ability to manipulate the facts. Tonight he will do his famous two step, avoid directly answering any questions and will twist the truth to try and justify his actions.
I am sure that after this vote, a vote he made because he was backed into a corner by Pelosi and the DNC, Tom will be in damage control for the next 12 months. We will see the pork starting to flow into the 5th district in the coming months as a payment for Perriello’s sell out of the American public and the Constitution. I hope that the citizens in this area are to smart to be bribed by this man and will remember next November what he did to their rights.
