He had 25 at the Danville and had 60 at his Albemarle event. The restaurant was full. It was a week day event, the only people that were notified were those that had been involved in the party and in most cases were probably working. The turn out at the lunch was what was expected and the evening event was better then expected. They had little expectation of much of a turnout at the breakfast one.

Verga's Ten points are nice but there is nothing inspiring nor new about them. What is more telling is the tepid response his tour got in terms on numbers of people attending. When offering free meals at every stop, to have fewer than ten people in Martinsville, twenty in Danville and maybe thirty in his home county shows the lack of excitement about his campaign. Why do you think he had such bad attendance ?

I think the self-term-limit pledge is an excellent idea. No complaints about the other 9 items either.

Given the bipartisan corruption we've seen from the earmark process (Murtha, Goode) I think any conservative candidate needs to swear off earmarks. Will Hurt?
