According to Mark Warner’s office the Senator plans on voting for cloture on the health care bill this weekend. A member of his staff told me that Warner had problems with certain aspects of the bill but would vote for cloture in order to bring it to the floor for debate. This is very reminiscent of Congressman Tom Perriello who was a no on the House health care bill before he was a yes.
I understand Warner’s reasoning but do not believe he is that interested in the debate. Statistics show that 97% of the time when cloture is approved the bill ends up passing in a final vote. I am sure Warner is aware of this. I believe if this bill makes it to the floor of the Senate it will be passed in short term. Warner like his counterpart in the House is standing by his party and ignoring the needs of Virginians. I am sure the Senator believes he is safe because his reelection is not for another five years. We must remember what these politicians have done to us by putting their party affiliation before the state they are supposed to be representing. Five years is a long time in politics, but Mr. Warner, it is not long enough to forget this betrayal.

No, Warner’s not safe with five years until his next election. No representative will be safe. Should he and/or Webb ultimately support “reconciliation” or vote in the affirmative for this disatrous health care bill, Virginians will not forget this betrayal to the Constitution nor the majority of their constituency. I spent the better part of today calling their offices, sending e-mails, and faxing letters to them. In no uncertain terms, I firmly told them if they turn their back on their constituents on this issues, I will be working vigorously over the next fives years to ensure their defeat. The movement to reclaim America is just getting started.
Wow…too many typos in my previous post! Guess I’m hopping mad
