The week before Christmas Robert Hurt was in Washington groveling before Grover Norquist president of Americans for Tax Reform. Hurt signed the ATR’s no tax pledge. Of course this was done years after his vote to increase Virginian’s taxes by 1.6 billion dollars and ending up on the ATR’s Virginia’s Least Wanted Poster.
It is so nice to see someone like Senator Hurt come back from the dark side. I know he regrets his brief venture into the tax and spend black hole of liberal politics and now wants to make up to the people of his state who are still suffering under the increased taxes that he helped to pass. I am sure we can trust Mr. Hurt to go to Washington and look out for the best interests of the citizens of the 5th district, that is until someone can convince him that he and his party will be better served by his voting on certain issues even though they may go against the will and best interest of the people. I am quite sure that if this were to happen that Hurt would once again be repentant and would expect the people of the 5th to be gullible once again and reward his penance with another term in office. After all it is not what you do but how sorry you are after having done it.
That is why the people of the 5th should support a man with political experience; after all isn’t it better to support a person who you know has transgressed in the past and has asked for forgiveness as opposed to someone who might have transgressions in the future and may not repent?

Signing a pledge not to raise taxes AFTER voting to raise taxes will not get my vote.
Hey BRG, Do you have a hole in your cheek now? LOL Next time use the other cheek for balance.
